Quick Facts About Geelong, Victoria

Geelong is the second largest city of Victoria and is located on the Corio Bay. It is just within a short drive from the famous beach-front communities living on the Bellarine Peninsula in addition to being the gateway to the renowned Great Ocean Road which starts at Torquay, which is slightly south of Geelong. This city boasts a huge commercial centre which extends all the way to the foreshore and which gives visitors the chance to explore the famous beachfront attractions like the Eastern Beach and its swimming enclosure, the incredible dining options available on the Cunningham Pier, the Steampacket gardens, and the numerous coastal walks which are decorated with an array of bollards that depict historic characters.

1. Barrow Grange

This is a Gothic revival home which overlooks the Barwon River in Newtown, which is a Geelong suburb. This home was built in the early 1850s and is home to an exquisite collection of early Victorian fittings and furniture. The adjacent gardens include century-old trees, a fountain, and lawns that slope all the way to the river.
